Gothic Cross Necklace. Purple and Lilac Cut Crystal & Fire Polished Glass. Antiqued Bronze

*One Of A Kind, you will get the exact necklace as shown*.

Gothic Equal Armed Cross Medieval Inspired Necklace with Purple Cut Crystal Bi-Cone Crystals, Lilac 'Aurora Borealis' Fire Polished Faceted Glass, Wrapped In Antiqued Bronze. The necklace makes a perfect handfasting or wedding necklace as well as making a gorgeous addition to a fantasy Medieval, Fairy or Gothic outfit.

The cross is suspended from a hand wired rosary style chain consisting of Fire Polished Czech Glass beads and for that added bit of sparkle I have added a tiny sparkling (*Premium Quality Cut Lead Crystal*) bi-cone beads, and a pretty heart shaped chain, all finished off with a scrolled fastener. The cross is a cast Tibetan Silver (Lead free Pewter) pendant with an antique bronze finish, the back is also decorated with a shallower/flatter version of the decoration on the front.

✩The Equal-Armed Cross Mythology, Legends, Lore and History✩
*Referred to as the square cross, the balanced cross or the peaceful cross.
*Another name for the Greek Cross and is found in many ancient cultures. It is often interpreted as representing the four seasons, four winds, four elements.
*An equal-armed cross represents the planet Earth in traditional astrological/astronomical symbols.
*The equal armed cross is also associated with the Brigid's cross (Cros Bríde, Crosóg Bríde or Bogha Bríde), a small cross cruciform usually made from rushes or straw. It comprises a woven square in the centre and four radials tied at the ends. It is also related to the Pagan symbol known as the Sun Cross. Brigid's crosses are associated with Brigid of Kildare, who is venerated as one of the patron saints of Ireland. The crosses are traditionally made on 1 February. It was traditionally believed that a Brigid's Cross protects the house from fire and evil.
