Forest Green Brazilian Emerald Tree of Life Earrings. These lovely earrings are made using Brazilian Emeralds which are the most gorgeous shades of green, deep, rich and earthy.
The Tree of Life finding is all solid Sterling Silver, with a post and butterfly back in the same. I have wrapped the Emeralds in Sterling Silver wire which I have contorted to represent tree roots.

Its colour reflects new spring growth, which makes it the perfect choice of a birthstone for the month of May. It’s also the gemstone for twentieth and thirty-fifth wedding anniversaries, as well as the traditional gemstone for the astrological signs of Taurus, Gemini, and sometimes Cancer.
Emerald is associated with the Heart Chakra and with blissful love. In groups of two or more people, Emerald can encourage bonding, and strengthen communication and understanding, helping each person to adequately express themselves without offending others.
The first known emerald mines were in Egypt, dating from at least 330 BC into the 1700s. Cleopatra was known to have a passion for emerald, and used it in her royal adornments.
Emerald is the most famous member of the beryl family. Legends endowed the wearer with the ability to foresee the future when emerald was placed under the tongue, as well as to reveal truth and be protected against evil spells. Wearing an emerald was believed to reveal the truth or falseness of a lover’s oath as well as make one an eloquent speaker.

in many religious interpretations, within myths, and as a mystical concept the Tree of Life represents the interconnectedness of all life on our beautiful planet. The Tree of Life connects all forms of creation. The Tree of Life is considered to be the symbol of 'Creator'.
In Norse mythology Yggdrasil is attested in the Poetic Edda, compiled in the 13th century from earlier traditional sources, and the Prose Edda, written in the 13th century by Snorri Sturluson. In both sources, Yggdrasil is an immense ash tree that is central and considered very holy. The gods go to Yggdrasil daily to assemble at their things. The branches of Yggdrasil extend far into the heavens, and the tree is supported by three roots that extend far away into other locations; one to the well Urðarbrunnr in the heavens, one to the spring Hvergelmir, and another to the well Mímisbrunnr. Creatures live within Yggdrasil, including the Wyrm (dragon) Níðhöggr, an unnamed eagle, and the stags Dáinn, Dvalinn, Duneyrr and Duraþrór.

The emeralds are around 12x7mm. Please bear in mind they are hand faceted and also due to the beautiful inclusions no two will be exactly the same colour or size, but I will match them as close as I can.

*Due to the integral design of the ear findings a direct swap for non-pierced finding is not available. But if you like these Emeralds I could make you a pair of non-pierced earrings using the same stones, but with out the tree detail. Message me and request a custom design.

Materials
I use a variety of metals in my jewellery designs and will always give a detailed description on each item. Here is an an over view of some the the metals I use:
- Pure Silver, also known as Fine Silver, 99.99% Silver with an allowance for trace elements
- 925 Sterling Silver, 92.5% pure Silver + 7.5% other metals, usually copper
- Silver Plated, 925 Sterling Silver plated/coated onto a base metal core, which can be brass, copper, pewter, iron, zinc alloys, tin, alloys
- 9ct Gold Plated on to 925 Sterling Silver core, also know as Gold Vermeil. I use 9ct Yellow Gold and 9ct Rose Gold Vermeil in some of my designs and also offer optional replacement ear-wires
- Titanium and Niobium optional replacement ear-wires, which are extremely low-allergenic pure medical grade metals
- Tibetan Silver refers to a variety of white non-precious metal alloys used primarily in cast jewellery components, with an appearance similar to aged silver. 'Tibetan Silver' includes copper-tin alloys; zinc alloys; and other alloy compositions, as well as base metals with a Silver plating. It is also known as Nepalese silver, white metal, lead-free pewter or tin alloy.
- I also offer a range of other metals such as Bronze, pure Copper, pure Aluminium, Stainless Steel and lead free Pewter in either solid or plated varieties.

But can be replaced (free of charge) with:
*large kidney wires, suitable for wearing though gauged tunnels, or simply if you prefer a longer earring (this will add approximately 3cm to the overall length).
For a small extra charge, I can replace the current ear-wires with:
*non-pierced/clip-on findings £1.00 extra
*925 Sterling Silver or Tianium or Niobium ear-wires, in a "fish/shepherds hook" design. £2.00 extra

Jewellery should be the last thing you put on the first thing you take off.
Always avoid getting hair products, perfume or chemicals (chemicals can include household cleaning products, some foods such as Lemons or vinegar)
General Advice:
Any metal be-it Sterling Silver, base metals or plated alloys can become dull or tarnished. As a general rule don't get it wet, if you do, dry and polish with a soft cloth. If it goes dull or tarnished, a gentle polish with a non-abrasive Silver cloth will bring it's lustre back. Gems or beads can be wiped with a slightly damp cloth to restore their original lustre.
Certain precious or semi-precious stone may require special care, I will include the information in the items full description or care leaflet.
Alternative ear finding/fittings available
I can offer a wide range of alternative ear finding to suit your ear type. The earrings will come supplied with the wires/clips as shown on the photos or mentioned in the description unlees you ask for an alternative.
So if you don't have pierced ears, have gauged/stretched ears or very sensitive ears I can help you.
Most of my earrings can be converted (the ones with a tiny loop at the top of the beads). As for other designs, you only need to ask and I will see what I can do.
