***Celestial Skies, Moon & Stars Necklace/Choker. Rainbow Moonstone, Pyrite Crescent. All Sterling Silver Star Chain/Clasp, Hand Wrapped Wire. June Birthstone.

Celestial Skies, Moon & Stars. Rainbow Moonstone, Pyrite Crescent Moon Necklace/Choker.

All Sterling Silver Throughout- Star Chain, Hand Wrapped Wire and Lobster Claw Clasp.
The focus of this necklace is the Pyrite crescent moon, suspended from a gorgeous chain interspersed with twinkling silver stars. The necklace is designed to sit high on the neck line. Finished with a sterling silver lobster claw clasp and extender. The clasp is flanked with tiny Moonstone beads and a hammered spiral (I like my designs to look as pretty from the back as from the front)

Iron Pyrite
The name Pyrite derives from the Greek pyr or pyros, meaning “fire” for its ability to emit sparks when pieces are struck together or against a hard surface. Pyrite was highly prized by the native Indian tribes of the Americas as a healing stone of magic, and was polished into mirrors for gazing and divination. Before the 1800’s, it was favoured as a decorative stone, carved into rosettes, shoe buckles, rings, snuff boxes and other ornaments, and was extremely popular in England during the Victorian Age for its use in jewellery.
As a talisman, Pyrite is a unique protector, drawing energy from the Earth through the physical body and into the aura creating a defensive shield against negative energies. It stimulates the Second and Third Chakras, enhancing will power and the ability to see behind facades to what is real.

Rainbow Moonstone
Moonstone has been used in jewellery for thousands of years. The Romans admired moonstone and believed that it came from the rays of the moon made solid. It has always been a sacred stone in India with a special significance for lovers. More recently it was a popular choice for jewellers in the Art Nouveau period.
Since earliest times, Moonstone has been a tangible connection to the magic of the moon and the Mother Goddess. Her strength lies in her gentleness, and her ability to experience, process, and neutralise her feelings.
An amulet of protection for travellers, a gift of lovers for passion and as a channel for prophecy. In Europe was believed to reconcile estranged lovers and to cure sleeplessness. Moonstone is known as the "Traveller's Stone" for the protection it affords, especially at night, and because of its uplifting quality of hope, has long been worn as a talisman to enhance the personality.
