The Black Obsidian Donuts are from Mexico. The Rainbow Moonstone beads are cute tiny smooth round beads (around 3mm) and are a beautiful ethereal semi opaque white, which works so well with the Black Obsidian.
✩Black Obsidian✩
Black Obsidian is a volcanic glass. On first glances it appears as a rich opaque black, but when held up to a light it has an occasional areas of translucency, showing rich browns or dark greens. Obsidian may also contain patterns of gas bubbles remaining from the lava flow. These bubbles can produce interesting effects such as a golden sheen.

*For fans of Games of Thrones this Obsidian is also know as "Dragon Glass", although I'm not sure how these earrings would help in dealing with White Walkers!
*Since ancient times, obsidian has been used in making various tools such as arrowheads, knives, and saws. Today, some of the sharpest medical scalpels in the world or made from it, because of how thinly and smoothly the blade can be sharpened.
*Obsidian is a very strong gem stone of protection, worn by ancient warriors to ensure both protection in battle and also that they maintain their high standards of honour by being honest, sincere and truthful.
*Polished Obsidian was also used to make scrying mirrors for foretelling the future.

*Moonstone has been used in jewellery for thousands of years. The Romans admired moonstone and believed that it came from the rays of the moon made solid.
*It has always been a sacred stone in India with a special significance for lovers.
*More recently it was a popular choice for jewellers in the Art Nouveau period.
*Since earliest times, Moonstone has been a tangible connection to the magic of the moon and the Mother Goddess. Her strength lies in her gentleness, and her ability to experience, process, and neutralise her feelings.
*An amulet of protection for travellers, and is known as the "Traveller's Stone" for the protection it affords, especially at night.
*In Europe was believed to reconcile estranged lovers and also as a gift for lovers to rekindle passion.
*Moonstone, and because of its uplifting quality of hope, has long been worn as a talisman to enhance the personality and as a channel for prophecy.

The hand forged Sterling Silver ear-wire/hoops are suitable for pierced ears, they are made from 0.6mm wire. This will easily fit regular piercings but if you would prefer a thicker 0.8mm ear-wire, please add a note when you buy, I will make and replace this for you at no extra charge.
*If you like this design I could make you something very similar with a non-pierced finding (the non-pierced findings would be silver plated).
*These earring hoop finding can be worn through gauged tunnels, I have tried this style of ear-wire trough my own 8mm metal tunnels, they fit and hang wonderfully.

Materials
Materials
I use a variety of metals in my jewellery designs and will always give a detailed description on each item. Here is an an over view of some the the metals I use:
- Pure Silver, also known as Fine Silver, 99.99% Silver with an allowance for trace elements
- 925 Sterling Silver, 92.5% pure Silver + 7.5% other metals, usually copper
- Silver Plated, 925 Sterling Silver plated/coated onto a base metal core, which can be brass, copper, pewter, iron, zinc alloys, tin, alloys
- 9ct Gold Plated on to 925 Sterling Silver core, also know as Gold Vermeil. I use 9ct Yellow Gold and 9ct Rose Gold Vermeil in some of my designs and also offer optional replacement ear-wires
- Titanium and Niobium optional replacement ear-wires, which are extremely low-allergenic pure medical grade metals
- Tibetan Silver refers to a variety of white non-precious metal alloys used primarily in cast jewellery components, with an appearance similar to aged silver. 'Tibetan Silver' includes copper-tin alloys; zinc alloys; and other alloy compositions, as well as base metals with a Silver plating. It is also known as Nepalese silver, white metal, lead-free pewter or tin alloy.
- I also offer a range of other metals such as Bronze, pure Copper, pure Aluminium, Stainless Steel and lead free Pewter in either solid or plated varieties.

But can be replaced (free of charge) with:
*large kidney wires, suitable for wearing though gauged tunnels, or simply if you prefer a longer earring (this will add approximately 3cm to the overall length).
For a small extra charge, I can replace the current ear-wires with:
*non-pierced/clip-on findings £1.00 extra
*925 Sterling Silver or Tianium or Niobium ear-wires, in a "fish/shepherds hook" design. £2.00 extra

Jewellery should be the last thing you put on the first thing you take off.
Always avoid getting hair products, perfume or chemicals (chemicals can include household cleaning products, some foods such as Lemons or vinegar)
General Advice:
Any metal be-it Sterling Silver, base metals or plated alloys can become dull or tarnished. As a general rule don't get it wet, if you do, dry and polish with a soft cloth. If it goes dull or tarnished, a gentle polish with a non-abrasive Silver cloth will bring it's lustre back. Gems or beads can be wiped with a slightly damp cloth to restore their original lustre.
Certain precious or semi-precious stone may require special care, I will include the information in the items full description or care leaflet.
Alternative ear finding/fittings available
I can offer a wide range of alternative ear finding to suit your ear type. The earrings will come supplied with the wires/clips as shown on the photos or mentioned in the description unlees you ask for an alternative.
So if you don't have pierced ears, have gauged/stretched ears or very sensitive ears I can help you.
Most of my earrings can be converted (the ones with a tiny loop at the top of the beads). As for other designs, you only need to ask and I will see what I can do.
